Held near the beginning of each calendar year, the Winter Celebration invites faculty and staff to join together as a community, celebrate the previous year’s accomplishments and look forward to what is ahead.

Faculty and staff gathered in McNamara Alumni Center over a shared lunch. Dean Keith Mays, DDS, MS, PhD, provided remarks.

“We take this time to connect with those in our community, as well as share a meal,” Mays shared.

A highlight of the event each year, Dean Mays named and honored all faculty and staff who celebrated anniversaries with the school this year–including individuals who have worked at the school in five-year increments, up to 40 years.

“Some of your work is very visible, and some of the work you do is behind the scenes,” reflected Mays after recognizing faculty and staff by name. “But every second, every hour of that work—whether you’ve been here five years or 40—is significant, and it has a real impact. Thank you for everything you do to care for our patients and support our students.”

The event was a time to reflect and celebrate the warmth and comfort community and camaraderie bring. Congratulations to all service award recipients, and thank you to our faculty and staff for being part of our community!
